I'm in a tight struggle for a player I desperately need and am unsure if I'm winning or not.   This is the last scholarship message I got.

""Coach, I really appreciate you having enough faith in me to extend me a scholarship offer. I hope that you have enough faith to wait for me to visit some other schools - they really have made their programs sound great and to be honest, I'm not sure where I'll be next  year.""

I usually go by the theory that if you aren't sure, assume you are behind.  But I read this as I am just ahead, but barely.   The message before this was definitely behind and I made a big effort that cycle, so I think I passed, but want to get opinions where I stand.  Thanks

It's a toss-up and could go either way

No, he's behind. Very, very, very, very far behind. Hopelessly far behind. So far behind, you're actually in front of it....

I'm in a battle with someone...You never know...
