2 questions for some of you seasoned players.

Is HD similar to GD in that if you don't knock off the sim completely before signings start, they can come back and take the lead?

Is knocking off a C+ sim realistic if I'm a D+?

yeah, you can do it.  you might have to go through a huge fraction of your recruiting budget

Depending on whether the recruit in question is the Sim's top priority will determine whether you have to spend a lot of money or not.  If he's not the Sim team's main target, then you should be able to beat him in a recruiting batlle relatively easily (all other factors besides prestige being equal, of course).

i think I understand the OP's question as whether or not SIM AI will recruit after humans start recruiting.  The answer is no and yes..... SIM AI does the majority of their recruiting pre-human recruiting.  So if you knock them off before signings start and are the only team they are considering, they are yours once signings begin because SIM AI will not pop back up into consideration. 

SIM AI will begin recruiting again a day or so after signings begin and can take players that no one is recruiting and could possibly pop up on someone you are recruiting, but normally are not hard to beat on their second wave of recruiting.  

When I played GD, SIM AI recruiting continues the whole time, but in HD they only recruit a couple waves of recruiting.

Thank you all, these are all very helpful response.  I've continued sending CV's, and seem to be leading according to the word on the street and the comments from the player emails regarding the vi.sits.  So, hope that means i'm leading and the SIM effort is close being completed.  I have enough to probably knock him completely off, but I'd prefer to hold the cash and upgrade a couple other spots once signings start.

Only pay attention to the scholarship emails. Everything else is just window dressing. Once you take the lead vs a SIM, player should be yours.
