When does the redshirt option go away?? Have a freshman C that hasn't played all year (E. Washington- regular season finished). Have tried to redshirt him 3 times with no success (last time after game #25). 

The redshirt option is still available. When does this go away? When the conference tournament starts? When the conference tournament is over? National tournament?

I thought it disappeared when the regular season was over but was wrong about that. 

ANyone know the definitive answer?

And feel free to weigh in on whether there is still any hope of this guy accepting the RS!

Before the NT championship game, I just slapped a redshirt on a freshmen yesterday before the elite 8 games were played.
