Will this guys SPD and ATH make up for his below average PER?

I think he is a pretty solid defender but I am wondering if I can get anything out of him offensively.   I plan on setting his DISTRO pretty low and his three point setting at +2 so he pretty much only takes three point shots.

If his PER is low, why would you want him taking a lot of threes?  Seems like this guy should be drawing some fouls inside the arc.

Aren't his two point FG stats even worse?  I thought the 15 LP and 50 BH were major (negative) factors in driving to the hoop effectively.

Let me get this out of the way: I *might* know what I'm talking about.  Probably not.  This ain't baseball.

I'd probably start the guy out at -1 and adjust it based on his 3pt%.  I would assume he'd be below break-even out there, but I'd want to see.  I'd hope the engine would have him taking jump shots rather than penetrating.  Maybe that's not how it works, but with that ATH and SPD I'd guess he'd draw fouls constantly so I'd want defenders close enough to foul the guy.

Please tell me he has high potential left in BH. If so, he'll eventually be able to get inside any D2 defense at will, getting fouls and dishing for a few easy buckets. :)
But I assume he's close to tapped out, and then I like the -1 suggestion with moderate to low distro. Good luck with him. He's a cool D2 player.

Definitely not +2, in my opinion.  -1 is about right, I think.

I would expect him to end up a -1, but I would start him at 0 and not risk wasting output if I'm proven wrong and he is capable of hitting 34-35%+. If you run a press or man, his biggest offensive contribution will be from steals and layups and he'll outperform the LP and PER ratings in the sense that he'll score more points than you would think those categories would indicate because of it.

I wish he had some growth left but he's tapped out.  The good news is he'll only be a RS SOPH so I'll have three seasons to play with him.

Thanks for all the help guys.

If this was baseball I wouldn't be asking your sorry bottom for advice  ;)

I just looked and I can't believe my sorry* bottom had only 28 full seasons over there.  Staggeringly high-quality full seasons, sure, I'll give you that, but I thought I had more.

*I read that as "soggy" at first.  Didn't strike me as odd.  I should do something about that.

You made it this far playing with a pinochle deck, no reason to switch over now....

If you put him at +2 hes going to be terrible offensively. +2 means he would take every single shot from 3 point range and you never want that. It would take away and option for mid ranger jumpers or drives to the basket. Even with 50 BH I would much rather a guy with low per be set at -1. Ive found that guys at -1 with low LP will tend to work the midrange game a lot more which can lead to higher percentage shots.
