I just cut a player on my OK State team and the News read, "Oklahoma State rescinds scholarship Bob Fulk." ...this happens a lot, actually - it's one of more common cut-player announcements. Would it be so much trouble to add in an "of" there, before the player's name?

Those announcements are written by his teammates.  It looks like they've mastered nouns and verbs. They don't study adjectives until next semester.

of is a preposition....

You are both right. Prepositions are the semester after next.

I have a question: Since 50 percent of American hs students can't even find the USA on a world map, nor are most of them able to pass the SATs in order to get accepted to a decent uni, why do all the foreign students sound like cavemen when they respond to our calls/letters? Most students who arrive here from China/Japan/Korea actually ace the SATs and end their first year of uni with a 3.5 plus gpa. Perhaps we should take a look.....no I won't be the first to mention him.     And if you are wondering, no, I'm not Asian, but yes I know personally, I've taught hs in the USA, Canada, and Asia and coached hoops in 2 of the 3. Why are all foreigners on this site portrayed as retards?
