Good point. I can see and understand that. Add that with home court i guess not meaning much in D3 then i can see the losses to a couple teams.
If it's any consolation, I probably had one of the worst losses in HD history one season in D2. I was a 62 point favorite against a Sim team, my team was ranked in the top 5, playing on my home court, and ended up losing by a couple of points when his PF of all players, just went off from three point range. Was so mad that I nearly quit then and there. Ended up winning the National Title that same season which made that Sim loss look even more inexplicable. I've given up on getting "too" upset about individual games (I'll still throw out a rant on my Coaches Corner here and there) and just accept the fact that we're dealing with a computer program with some bit of randomness built into it, and that strange things will occasionally happen. Doesn't mean we have to like it when those things happen, but just remember that they will from time to time.
Also, the advice that you're getting about overall ratings is solid. As a number of coaches have stated, ignore the overall rating and look for numbers in the categories that are important for each specific position. Most of those are common sense, but if you're a little fuzzy on which ratings are the most important for each position, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind answering if you asked. Give it some time (a couple of seasons at least) and if you're still frustrated, then make the decision to move on, but don't make any rash decisions before you really give the game a chance.
