We had another big quake here this morning, whole house shook while I was sipping coffee looking over last night's news and baseball results before starting work. It lasted about 30 full seconds. But the epicenter was near Modena, about an hour and a half from where we live, no one hurt here, no damage.
Everyone was outside to start the morning as a result, neighbors talking with each other. I headed over to my daughter's school and the kids didn't even feel it (the teachers did but kept their cool) and everything was normal there. They herded everyone at the building my wife works at and had them all stay outside for half an hour.
So, everything and everyone in these parts are fine. Plus we got to test seamar_116's hypothesis about Alex Liddi. But no, I checked, no home run last night. He went 1 for 3 with two strikeouts.
So there is only a 50% correlation between Liddi's homers and Italy's earthquakes. Plus a small sample size, but hopefully that last part will stay that way !
