Hey thanks...FANTASTIC site!!! Brought back a lot of memories seeing old Metropolitan stadium. My dad used to take us on summer vacations there in the late 60s and early 70s...again thanks Bird!!!!

I'm bumping this. Wonderful chance to see many of the stadiums we have our teams play in but that are not around anymore. What struck me especially was how beautiful the Polo Grounds was. And one glance down the right field line tells you why it is a doubles and not a home run park. 

And how could even Babe Ruth hit one out of Hilltop ?

Man, the Polo Grounds looks like a little league park down the lines, and then the OF just opens up to monstrous proportions.
