i thought that the shot clock for ncaa is 35 seconds (admittedly, i don't watch too much d2 ball)...so, how does this end of game sequence work?

Wisconsin, Parkside is playing a flex offense (slowdown) and a fullcourt press (+3)   Florida Southern is playing a quick shot offense (quick shot) and a man to man (-2)
00:51   91-65 Dean Ludwig hits a shot from the left wing on a nice dish by Lance Edwards
Wisconsin, Parkside is playing a spread offense (hold ball) and a fullcourt press (+3)   Florida Southern is playing a quick shot offense (quick shot) and a man to man (-2)
00:24 Fred Brown's fadeaway is rejected by Robert Smith 91-65
00:22 The offensive rebound goes to Brandon Lynch 91-65
00:00 Byron Jones runs out the clock 91-65

I think you need to check your math.

why? isn't 51>35? Pretty hard for a fadeaway that's blocked to also hit the rim, no?

I believe the shot clock resets after a blocked shot, meaning it always hits the rim which is quite hard to believe, probably something that needs to be looked into.

Definitely ticket worthy

Right, I think the keyword that the engine gets tripped up by is "rebound"...again it's unlikely that you block it off the rim.

Is it all that unlikely?  Syntax on the rejected, but blocked/altered shots hit the rim all the time.

I know the PBP flow is a bit random, but it was a "fadeaway" and that probably wouldn't touch the rim...I think it's important to wonder/know if this is a PBP/fluff issue or if it has to do with the game engine not reading/equating the situation properly.  I know the way the NBA sim works, it determines a block after the shot has already been missed I think.

Ah, I gotcha. I was just looking at the time without actually reading the PBP and thought you were saying that 51-24 > 35. Presumably the engine is saying the ball hit the rim but there just isn't something added to the PBP for that. Definitely ticket worthy though, just to find out what actually happened.

You guys are trying to to use real basketball to the descriptions provided by WIS. Yes, in real life a fade away which is blocked is probably not hitting the rim. In WIS if it says "grabs the rebound" the shot  clock resets. The issue that CS probably needs to look at is whether every blocked shot which is recovered by the offensive team is treated as an offensive rebound, thereby reseting the shot clock.
