I have a redshirted stud on one of my teams and was deciding how to allocate practice minutes. I read on the forums that SH minutes do not matter because they will still practice if they become ineligible and will bump up to a 2.0 at the beginning of the next season. Is this correct? Also would there be any benefit to keeping him eligible rather than letting him flunk? Do they still progress the same if they have a RS on them? Also in the future would it be harder to maintain his GPA if I let him flunk his first year? I know my rep will take a hit but I am not worried about that. If you could get back to me on these questions, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, James

James,

Ineligible players do still practice, and he will recover to a 2.0 to start next season, but obviously it will take more to maintain the overall GPA if you start with a 2.0 than it would for something higher.
