I agree with most of what is being said. I think many sites on the internet can and have put in place ways to regulate suggestive, racist, or otherwise questionable content and I don't believe that is enough reason to not do this. I think it can be regulated with little effort.

Like I said, I know there are bigger fish to fry when it comes to constant improvement in HBD, but when I have a custom logo in my fantasy leagues I feel more ownership and other owners are amused by each others (non-cleavage) logos.

Or, is the game better because new owners are drawn in because they can create a pretty logo?
I'd be curious to know if WifS business model is more reliant on bringing in new customers or increasing the retention rate of existing ones.

I'd think most business models apply pretty much the same priority to each of those.

Not necessarily. For example, a car company doesn't care too much about customer retention, because most people only purchase a car a few times in their lives.

You might have a point if you said "realtor".   A car company knows you'll have a car your entire life.  And, if possible, they'd like you to keep telling everyone what a great car you have and what a great deal you got.

Of course, neither applies here because everything is a 3 month lease.

Depends on the economy.  A couple of years ago, my company (a life insurance company) was hit particularly hard by the recession.  We temporarily shifted our focus from selling new policies to retaining existing in-force policies, as premiums on already issued in-force policies are a major source of our income.  We've started to shift our focus back towards sales of new product again now that the economy has stabilized.

Your company thinks small.   Could be a manpower problem.  Of course, you're dicking around on this site all day so that doesn't help.

Since patrickm885 has been around a lot lately... Bump!!

In all honesty, a very cool idea.

This could fit into some enormous overhaul of the game, but that isn't even on the radar at the moment.

I don't see why this would be controversial at all.  Perhaps if people are able to personalize their teams a bit further it might (?) keep them more committed to their teams.  It's not a deal breaker for me, but I think it would at least be something for the developers to explore.

If somebody "stays committed" to their teams because they can design their own logo, I'd question their commitment to the game.

Its a simple thing that will give SOME PEOPLE a bit more emotional attachment to their teams.

We can explore the idea and we have thrown this around a couple of times.

In the grand scheme of things this just isn't a top priority.

The color pallette idea should be quick and painless ;)
