Guys I've been around the block a time or two, and am at a B- prestige in D1. I was going for a player, thrown him a hand full of evals, and he said coach your a backup plan I'm expecting higher level offers whatever. Turns out though another B- prestige got in the door and is now leading for him. What did that guy do to get him interested? Is there a certain number of evals I need to throw out there or spend to get a visit?     

Generally most coaches start with 10 trips. Some coaches claim to have only used 7-8 but late in recruiting. Sometimes it takes 30+ trips. If the player is under 70 miles from the school that can make a big difference. Other factors sometimes influence the player's decision as well such as distance away, prestige (not in this case), and possibly conference prestige.
