whats the most youve seen a player improve with high high? i know its 28+ but i see some players with ridiculous ratings for d3 that can only be the consequence of 40-50+ points of improvement...

It can be unlimited.  Don't count on it, though.  I've had guys get exactly 28 and I've had guys get 70.  As ike said in another newish thread, the biggest gains I've observed have come in LP/PER.

It is quite often for a player to improve 50+ in perimeter and low post if their starting rating isn't too high. Don't expect that with athleticism, speed, or defense, usually ends up a little bit over 30. Most I've seen personally so far (even though I haven't played too long) is 55 in passing with Willie Scaife on my West Chester team.

I have a senior SF that started with a 12 LP. he is currently at 63 and still has high potential in the category. So that is 50 pts so far with at least another 20 ish on the way. His defense will have gone up near 43 when he is done.

Another junior SF will have gone up 50 LP when done (finishing around a 98).

For speed the highest jump i have is 41.

PER i have an increase from 18 to 64 on a junior who is still high in potential so should be around 70 pt increase too. Same player has a 44 pt BH increase

Passing so far has been 45.

Those are the only significant changes i've seen. I never rely on the player getting 40 or 50 pts in a stat. Just recruit the best "minimums" that they will end with at senior year. everything past that is just a happy bonus.

Gary Stutler just graduated my Valdosta St team as the school's all time leading scorer. He improved I think 60 something in LP and 70 in Per. Or something like that...he's gone now so I don't know for sure...

I have a guy at D2 who started with 38 PE and is now 72 (just ended his soph year) and is still in the blue for the rating.

I have a kid on my D 3 team who went from 20 LP to 91 and is still black potential. Billy Fan.

Thinking about what is said here it kind of makes sense. There is definitely a limit to how fast or strong a person can get. Scoring on the other hand really comes from constant time with the ball in your hand and an understanding of how to finish down low or stay consistent from deep.

Avery Morris came in with a PER rating of 23, and is now up to 71 still with high potential left, meaning he'll have gone up at least 68 points when he's maxed out.
