ineligible at DI Topic

I have never signed an ineligible at DI.  What are the chances you spend 60k and they decide to go to JUCO?  Any wisdom on knowing your odds?

There's always a possibility of an ineligible going JUCO but at D1 I don't think it happens too much. I signed my first ineligibles at the D1 level where I couldn't get a bite at D2.

Weird things tend to happen when you try to get two ineligible players in the same class.  But I think your odds are very good if he's the only stupid one.

It happens occasionally, but I personally have had great luck with ineligibles showing up--only once do I recall one going JUCO and I ended up signing him next season (he started out considering me).

along these lines, looks like ryrun eluded to it but I'm looking for a definitive answer - is it possible to sign TWO ineligible players and have BOTH report to campus? Looking for an answer from someone who has done it or knows of a team that did it.

For some reason, I have a preconceived notion that you can only have one ineligible player in a class but in multiple searches and player's guide search, etc. couldn't find anything.

I've tried it, and didn't get them both to sign, but CS tells me each makes his decision independently and both can report.

I realize this is an old ticket, but I wanted to confirm something:

In this original ticket message, I mentioned that I had tried to sign 2 ineligible players in the same season. I am seeing from people on the forum that no more than 1 ineligible player per season will report to campus under any circumstances. Is this true? Here I am thinking I just need to spend more, and maybe I do, but the scenario I described couldn't work at all if indeed only 1 ineligible per season is allowed.

No, that's not true. Each player makes his decision independently.

so it is possible to have more than one ineligible player report in the same season?

Yes.

I don't believe anyone's ever done it, though.  Seriously.

The only time I've seen it is on SIM teams.

I tried this season, but someone stole one of the ineligibles from me late (maybe I should go change my stance in the recruiting effort thread, eh? - oh wait, that's just part of the game so I'm not going to ***** about it...)

Yep, never seen a human coach confirm that he's done it.
