Hiring Logic Still Broken Topic

Once again I am of the opinion that hiring logic is broken.  I am only a "Longshot" at five schools and they are all in the same conference.  That is why I say it's broken.  There are several other "starter" D1 Conferences.  By any other standards I at least SHOULD be a Longshot in some other Conference.  I am in Phelan World, North American Conference D2.....WvWC is my School.

could be a coincidence - I've never noticed conference as a factor - for good or ill - in the hiring

What's your reputation and loyalty.  Some schools care about that more.

or Baseline Conference Prestege ( I hate that word, I never spell it right) may play a role (roll?).

Either way it sucks!

I think you get a permanent D- reputation just for your user name.. just be glad WIS isnt owned by espn...you'd never go anywhere with WVU in your name lol.. since espn (or at least certain announcers) hate wvu...i'm just messing with ya :)

by the way.. i saw your resume and i cant believe you cant get a DI job.. that makes me want to just quit now and not have to play 15 seasons just to have an outside shot at landing a crappy DI school.. like marshall... go herd :)

yeah, that seems like a guy who should be eligible for any low-end D1 jobs to me (assuming reputation and loyalty are pristine)...

200+ wins, 4 seasons at WVW with all postseason, 3NTs, 2 S16s... no reason any D-level SIM team shouldn't take him.

A little more on what WVU is saying, there are two teams open in the world WVU is in that have been human coached for several seasons and they have worked up to be pretty decent.  Stephen F. Austin has a C+ prestige and Texas Southern a B.  Both of their coach's moved on after the season.  I would think both of those teams would be in what is considered a starter type conference more or less.  But because of the strict hiring policies they probably stand a good chance of going to where they are SIM coached rather than a coach like WVU being able to move in and pick them up and keep them moving along with the recent success.  The previous coach's built them up but they now stand a chance of having to drop in prestige before beign picked back up by a coach wanting to move up.

The problem is probably the six schools he jumped around to before coaching WVW for 4 seasons.  I am pretty sure loyalty is the reason he is not qualified, not success.

If you look at the season history, there are several multi season breaks.....could not afford and it was not tills dad gave me a 5 pack that I started to enjoy multi seasons.

As to the WVU in my name, I looked for an LD league or one that used pictures for rules explanation, but could not find it! Life long WVU fan by birth, and a proud red neck! Proud to wear the Blue and Gold.

I think even with the breaks in between seasons your resume still shows 7 teams in 11 seasons (or something like that). I'd guarantee this is what is holding you back right now.
