So I'm trying to apply some logic here to my distro settings and how players react to these settings. Specifically, if you guys have a pg with good bh and passing, but also has the ability to score, do you raise his distro a lot? Would I expect his assists to be down because more plays are planned for him? I ask because in the previous season my pg was averaging less than 3 assists per game, but he did have a fairly high distro. Usually though, my pg still gets pretty good assists numbers.

On a second note that ties in with the first, if your pg is not much of a scorer (ratings wise), but has good bh and pass, do you raise his distro? When raising their distro is it gameplanning for that player to have the ball in his hands to make a play or just to take the shot?

My meager understanding of distro is it's the target for how much to shoot. Of course, if a guy is taking more shots then the ball will be in his hands more - but he's looking to shoot/drive - NOT pass.

A PG with PER 1; LP 1; FT "F"; BH 100; PASS 100 is an ideal "0" distro candidate.

The better a PG can shoot the higher his distro should be. This also helps to keep the other team from sagging or double-teaming.

Don't be too fancy, just treat him like anyone else on offense. It's the recruiting of good PG skills matters more.

I agree with jenningss. Distro is strictly the number of plays run for the given player. Also consider that the number of assists credited to the PG reflects the ability of the rest of the team to score. Just because the PG makes a great pass does not guarantee a basket.

thanks guys, I figured this was the case, but wanted to see if I was missing something. In most cases even when I've raised the distro of my pg who could score, he still would get decent assists numbers. In this case, my pg's assists seem abnormally low. My other scorers were not the best, which I figure contributed, but I thought he'd be a little higher in moving the ball around and getting assists.
