if a team is participating and advancing in one of the post season tournaments, why do players ratings growth halt after the conference tournaments?

because not all teams are playing anymore I guess is the reason...
6/24/2012 6:24 PM
hmmm...i guess that seems the likely reason...but still odd because the teams that are playing are still practicing and presumably should be improving

right, but if they did you get a situation where teams that are already better than the teams that aren't in the postseason continue to get even better...rich getting richer situation...

I always thought one solution would be to just allow the WE to keep rising;  Players that get a taste of the postseason are 'more willing to work hard to get another taste' sort of thing.  Dunno.

still gives an advantage to the teams that are already better, allowing them to be even better the next time around, while holding back development of the teams that aren't as good, making it more likely they stay not as good...

The teams in the postseason already have a lot of benefits going for them.  Let this not become another one.

I always this was bogus. If I'm not mistaken, in real life the actual teams who advance in the tourney get the bulk of tourney money and it's not spread equally throughout the conference, but I'm fine with it not working that way for the sake of the game. However, I disagree with the stopping of improvement starting with the conference title game. I feel if your team is still playing, thus still practicing it should mean your players continue to improve, and that should be the bonus that you get for playing extra games and earning your conference additional funds.

I agree...perhaps slightly, but.....in Div 2 at least the better teams are not because they are a bcs.....but lucked or better recruited...rather silly to say they should not have players improving

I believe in Gridiron Dynasty the teams continue to practice and improve as long as they are playing games - I could be wrong on that; but if I'm correct, why the inconsistency?

On another note - HD is far superior to GD in many, many ways; so I'm not asking for HD to emulate GD by any means, with this one exception (and maybe some gameplanning functions)

I thought prestige was that bonus...
