That we got next years recruiting monies for graduating seniors right after recruiting is over so we could fss earlier.

Give 33% to d3
Give 50% to d2
Give 75% to d1

So new coaches don't spend it all. Or you get your fss money once you renew and give a reserved season...

Many jucos do not show up till after the pevious season ends so not sure this would be for the best. That should change also though IMO.

I think this  is a great idea. Sometimes, the day before recruiting isn't a convenient time to start.   New coaches should get their money as soon as they sign up, except when they're reserved a team miD-season

I'd have no problem with it, provided it comes with a restriction that if you use it, you can't change jobs in the offseason.  I dont want a scenario where you can scout wherever you want after a season starts using Team A's budget and then switch to a job in that part of the country after the season ends and not have to scout Team B because you already made a list of the good players.   Plus then what happens to the coach who takes over your team, does he get full recruiting money even though you spent some or does he have to recruit with less funds??

There's always an unforseen complication, isn't there? LOL  I guess that's why the system works as it does

Good points, I think that there might have to be some small changes to recruiting for it to work after thinking about it a bit more. But I don't think you could require a coach to stick at his current job if he has recruited, maybe take the funds away from his next school (I realize this isn't a perfect solution and has limitations). It would give a bit more strategy to recruiting IMO.

I think there could be a way to do it though al - maybe it does require a re-work of how recruiting monies are figured out?

I just don't like the idea that the most important aspect of the game is the part that is given the shortest time frame.
