Anyone had a 820 plus rated d1 team in a non big 6 conf recently? Would just like to know what I have to shoot for.

If you get a non big 6 conference team to 720, you're doing extremely well

I am sure is just me...but that is what makes div 1 so unapealing.........sit around to grab a big 6 maybe, to have any chance?

It depends on your goals.  Yes, the likelyhood of winning a title outside of a big 6 (or even a top baseline job there) is slim... but like any mid-major, a sweet 16 or elite 8 is like a title.

Ok, nbstowman. That St. Louis teams absolutely rocks. How did you do that? Incredible. For those who don't know, nb currently has an 808 B+ prestige St. Louis with several players B6 teams, even top ones, would love to have. Nice work, nb.

Thx Downing. I didn't mean this as a Hey look at me thread though, I just was wondering how many guys had better teams in similar situations. I know titles have been won in non big6 schools in d1, and I know there are a lot of better coaches than me. Simply wanted to know about team rating. If I don't make a deep run with these guys I can't really call it a success.

You're going to be a giant-killing 7-seed (if current PPR holds) nb.  Too bad the A-10 has declined a bit and/or you didn't go all-out balls-out with a grinder of a NC schedule.  You gonna stick around for their senior years or gonna look at jobs?  If you're sticking around, you should wrap up that NC schedule with some Top 20 teams (esp. given the state of the A-10) to get you a better seed next season that could be a good launching pad for jobs after next season.

That's now how I took it at all, nb. And I think you can make a great run, with a realistic outside chance of getting to the Final 4. You have to stop starting Flannigan, though. Jones should start from here on. And depending on the opponent, you might have your post men set to -2 on 3s. Incredible job building that team, and the best of luck in the NT.
