When is it "Safe" to play an injured player? Topic

I had a PF and a C drop to 50% health about 5 games ago, they are now both up to 85%.

Obviously losing two big men made me pretty thin at those spots, generally when is it safe to bring them back?

I try to wait until 90 but if you need them I don't think playing them at 85 is a big deal.

No matter what level of health a player has, there is no increased risk of injury if you play them. The only thing that happens is that their skills/stamina detract depending on the % of health. I don't know exactly what that number is.

if I need them badly (ie the backups are ****) I'll play them at 75. I usually put them back at 85-90. if there's no rush I let them get to 100...

80 if desperate and 90 if not for me.  In the situation you (nauds) described I wouldn't hesitate to play them.  Maybe for the next game use only the better one, then bring back the lesser guy in the following game.

This is a quote from a ticket I had some time ago. In my case I had promised the player minutes and when he got hurtI didnt play him until 80% and he started complaining about minutes.

"Just so you know, there is no higher risk of injury by playing someone at less than 100%. There is just the reduced effectiveness."

On a side note to the promise thing, if you promised minutes and were afraid of the reduced effectiveness, he will be expecting to play once he is back to 60% again. In my case, I sat player until 80% and he started complaining about minutes. His stats showed over 15 mpg, b/c it only averaged the games he played, but once he passes the 60% internally he is counting those games and it does not show in his stats cosmetically, so he will complain even if the stats show you are holding your end of the promise.

Even if that quote is from CS poncho, I don't believe it to be accurate. I've had less than 10 injuries where a player actually dropped below 80 but the one time I tried to play a guy who was in the 70s he got hurt again. I find it odd that it would be a mere coincidence that something that has happend only a few times would happen twice to the same player in a manner for a few games and the fact that his health was low had no impact.

That's always been my thought as well kmason. Luckily I've never had a player injured multiple times, but if it ever happened, I'd have to reference CS to the other ticket and ask them what happened. I'm certain that they would still say its random.
