What a season I am having. Topic

I am the Coach of Cornell,Crum World. I have been doing Hoops Dynasty for 2 years.  I don't want to quit. I don't want  to go back to d-2 or d-3. I just want to turn Cornell into a decent basketball school.
I am hoping someone will look at my team. Send me a site mail telling me how I can fix my mess.

couple wholes i quickly aee:
1. you need rebounders.....atleast 160 ath plus reb
2. better perimeter defense....i look for 75 min in def/ath/speed

I agree with trentonjoe...you gotta get better defenders. Being at a mid-major I would say that a team average of 70 for def. is a must when playing m2m. Just like Joe said, you have to get more athletic at all positions. Focus your recruiting on atheticism/speed and defense as your primary targets then filter those guys for the other attributes like reb/lp/per.

You may find it useful to R/S a kid each year.  You're 12 deep right now, but surely that works against you as a mid-major.  Did you try to R/S anyone?  That should pay-off down the road.  You could also consider keeping a walkon or 2 each year and use that $15k/$30k to aim  (better ATH/SP/DEF just like the other guys said) during recruiting.

Also consider moving Witham around the lineup as your defensive stopper.

Tried to red shirt Behm last season he refused. When I was at Washington and Lee tried a red shirt  on a  first year  player. He  got mad , lifted the R/S , played him a few minutes a game. At season end he left the team. Yes, having 12 players is hard keeping them all happy.

devilcats, just stick with the lineup the way you have it now for the est of this season. You definitely needed more ATH, SPD and def too.

Mdoncan,           Am going to stay with the line-up you recommend, this line-up is a lot better than the one I was running. You are right about my recruiting.Recruiting is something I have always had trouble with. I panic and then I wind  up settling for players that I shouldn't have on my team.

just stick with it. it takes time to learn recruiting. i would ay 4-5 seasons for me. my personal belief is look for high potentials in ath/speed, and in the lower levels go for mostly role players. a big guy with ath def and rebounding is really valuable. not everyone needs to be a star. and redshirting/high IQs are a game changer if done right.
