There is a starting pitcher in my league that will no doubt get a max contract. I offered a near max contract out the gate, but was told that I had not offered enough money. I then offered a max contract--and got back the message that he "favors me for now." I do not recall getting this message when solely money was the issue--so does this mean I am winning the tie breakers for the time-being? The prior franchise is rebuilding (and in any event cannot offer a max contract) so I do not need to worry about a loyalty bonus. (I have never seen a team lose a player if they have the loyalty bonus) I notice that WIS mentions coaches pitching IQ and ballpark as the next tie breakers. Does any one have any sense that one tie breaker of these tie breakers is more important than another.
