Big game tonight, need help Topic

I have a C who isn't really that could but he had loads of Blue, and there was a battle for him which forced me to promise a Fr. Starter. Now it's my 2nd to last game, and im the leader in the one division with 1 conf loss. and I'm playing my arch rival with no conf losses in the other division. im also on the bubble for post season.  I've already took my Fresh C to Mop-up twice this season vs. Plane and Dhouston both have great teams. I learned last year you can get it away with it twice on another guy. but can a 3rd time be ok? while I'm here what about conf tourney, and NT/PT do the starts matter at that level as well.

The question : How many times can you safely sit a promised starter without any consequences?
( this game is too important for the 4-8 minutes he's getting )

Thanks in advance

1) I think you're OK with sitting him since he hasn't complained and there are only 2 games left.

2)  promises don't seem to matter in the CT and beyond

6 times is safe, and i think you can get away with 7 or even more if you do it early, but its shaky ground and probably not where you want to experiment. i have forgotten to set my team up until like, maybe 10 games in, and have not lost starters when i played them the rest of the season. and yes, once the CT hits, you can play whomever you like, with no repercussions.

I have found that promises are considered honored at 80%.  While certainly not a hard and fast rule, I have never had a player complain at 80% of what was promised (either starts or minutes) onr have I lost a player to transfer at 80%.

That does apply on a rolling basis, so while I have seen early season complaints, there would not be a complaint if you benched him now.  Of course if you make a long run into the NT, you might need to put him back in the lineup at some point.

bench him, and it should most definitely be OK (provided that WIS hasn't changed anything in the recent updates regarding promised starts)
