I have a pitcher who suffered a catastrophic injury last season and is still injured. His ratings took a huge hit and I don't think he can play at the ML level anymore. I wasn't allowed to release him last season when the injury took place. The world rollover is just complete and he's still injured (50 days). He is coming up for his final arbitration this season. Will I be allowed to release him if he is still injured or will I have to go through arbitration? I am hoping that since he is not under contract that I will be allowed to let him go. Does anyone know the answer to this?
