Here's the first scholly message, clearly showing I'm behind:

Coach, I really appreciate you having enough faith in me to extend me a scholarship offer. I hope that you have enough faith to wait for me to visit some other schools - they really have made their programs sound great and to be honest, I'm not sure where I'll be next year.

Here's the second message (after no effort was put in) leading me to believe that I am in front:

Coach, just following up your scholarship offer. I REALLY love your program, I'm looking forward to the signing period!

George Eiland

Then after more than 24 hours he signed with the other team he was considering, without me getting another scholly message. Did I just misinterpret message #2, was there considering credit that put the sim in front, or do I have a legitimate gripe here?
8/31/2012 8:56 PM
the other team was a sim? if so, that is strange, and i would definitely send it in - some weird things have happened in recruiting lately with sims recruiting and stuff. CS claims sims never spend money on a player twice - they just go for players before humans start recruiting, or else they can spend money on DIFFERENT players some time after signings. but a few others have posted similar stories, and CS has not taken back those claims.

if this school is not a sim, i'd think they redshirted the player between message 1 and 2, and then went for him hard before message 3. and also, what time did he sign?

Coach, you're too late. I've already signed with another school. Thought you would have heard by now.

The other team is a sim

I agree with gillispie....definitely send in a ticket. This sort of thing seems to be happening more frequently. So the more tickets submitted, the more likely it is CS does something about it.
8/31/2012 9:47 PM
be sure you had a scholarship offered to him... I have seen alot of guys mention strange things like that and CS come back to say no scholly was offered or it was removed etc. (one possible explanation anyway)
(i know you don't get those messages without usually an offer,,, but did you pull it or something would be my question)
8/31/2012 10:53 PM
Definitely didn't pull it - the last message was re: scholarship offer (before he signed). I'll post CS's response.

CS seems kinda busy. I'll bet you get this "we didnt' read it" message from CS:

Thank you for the suggestion.

Suggestions are compiled and evaluated once a month. They are then prioritized and added to our future feature set lists we use for future updates.

Feedback and suggestions are what help us continue to improve our site and our games. Thank you for taking the time to help us improve.

I got that message last week when I informed them of a school name change....Philadelphia Biblical is now Cairn Univ.  I even provided a link to the news story.

WhenI previously informed them of a name change, they changed it immediately.  Columbia Union became Washington Adventist.  Fairleigh Dickinson-Madison became Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham

let me see if I can get my BS filter up over my monitor... hold on, ok...tape it in place.  Got it:

Thank you for figuring out how to submit a ticket in spite of our best efforts to screw you on that.

We don't actually care what you sent in, we aren't really going to look at it.  Not in a month when the other "suggestions" get "reviewed". Not ever.

Feedback and suggestions are what keep us laughing around the water cooler while we scratch our balls. Thank you for taking the time to give us something to snicker over later.

This.  A thousand times, this.

this happened to me and they gave me a "stfu" credit of I think $2.50 or maybe $5.00, i don't remember exactly what it was.  better than nothing I guess.

they first came at me like you didn't put in any more effort so in spite of the 2nd message why would you think you should be ahead?  and when i said that i thought maybe the other guy tried to slap a redshirt on him or pulled a scholarship they gave me the credit.

Here's the response from CS:

Ben,

This message is a follow-up to inform you that your ticket #114043 submitted on 8/31/2012 9:34 PM (ET) has been upgraded to the appropriate department for further review.  Resolving your issues are important to us but due to the high volume of support tickets, it may take up to 5 business days to receive a response.  Time sensitive issues are handled much quicker.

In the meantime, we have other resources available which may help you find a resolution faster!

dacj, you are spot-on.

CS Response:

Generally you will get a message if there is a change in which team leads on a recruit, but there isn't a guarantee of that happening, particularly when multiple teams are in a close battle with a lot of effort put into the player. It's best to keep in contact with the recruit.

We understand that this can be frustrating and we're planning on making improvements to recruiting in the future.

So yes dacj, they do not care, and they will not rectify the situation
