OT: My improv theater needs your help Topic

So this is a long shot, but the goal is to get this to as many people as possible and I don't mean for this to be a soliciting or spam thread, just I post here a good bit and thought it might be a good area to ask for help.

I'm very involved in the long form improv comedy scene in Pittsburgh, and it's is a scene getting very big. Not near Chicago or LA level obviously, but it's growing constantly.

Years before expecting to do it, our theater is moving to a much nicer part of the city that will open us to a whole new audience and take care of a lot of issues we have been having. We have hit our initial goal of $5000, but in reality it takes more than that to take an empty space and turn it into a top notch theater.

If you like to support small businesses, arts, growing scenes in upcoming cities or other WIS players take a few minutes to check it out and consider giving even a small gift. It would mean a lot to me, but I also totally get if nobody does since I don't actually know anybody here in real life.

Thanks

you might want to delete this thread - it appears to be copying or even worse mocking the other thread.  Clear that isnt intended.  Maybe come back with it after a period of time passes.

I completely disagree. Although perhaps his subject is less "important" in the sense it doesnt save lives, it is a passion of his and many come here looking for support. I did not feel any sort of mocking or ridiculing was going on in this thread at all- in fact, I was planning on donating.

I think that although yes, perhaps one could call the timing "unfortunate," but in no way should that result in pressure to delete the thread.

No worries, mjp.  I have coached against mjp for a long time and we've always had a good relationship.  Even if to an outsider it may look that way, I have no doubt that's not what was happening.

Thanks ike, I figured you wouldn't read into it but made that 2nd post just in case anyone does. Maybe I'll bring your more important post some attention by stirring up a controversy anyway.

And Caesari I hope you are still considering, every little bit helps and it's a place I spend every free minute I have.

Good luck with your project. I used to be a member of an improv troupe, "The Kentucky Cured Hams."  It was a lot of fun!
