Who would you start?
I'm trying to figure out what my starting five should look like for my DePauw team, but for once, my team seems a little too balanced. We're lacking in certain areas, but we have a bunch of players who only outdo each other in one or two categories. I'm also trying to start/give as much playing time to
Jimmy Shay as possible because he has a low work ethic, but high potential in all the right places. But other than almost definitely starting Shay and almost definitely starting
Garret Bejarano, I'm not sure what else to do with this depth chart. Part of me wants to put last year's Midwest Freshman of the Year
Anthony Boddie in the starting lineup, but he put up his great numbers backing up Shay last year, and I feel he could do the same this year.
But honestly I have no idea how to set up the depth-chart for this team this time around, so I'd love input from other coaches. Who would you start? And hell, who would you back up the starters with?
My tentative line-up is PG- Shay/Bardwell/Custis SG - Boddie/Wireman/Custis SF - Coleman/Howard/Custis PF - Bejarano/Millikin/Brooks C - Walraven/Smith/Brooks but I have several other ideas on how things could go and would love others' input.
For example, I really like the idea of Bardwell/Wireman at point guard and Shay/Boddie at shooting guard... But I also really want to start Shay and Boddie to maximize improvements and to see if Boddie can put up even gaudier numbers than he did last season as a freshman.
