rookie sim league player. What is the most important thing to set up in the coaches office? How do you set the defense postion? I like playing sim basketball just don't like getting beat. Thanks

set your depth chart and minutes properly - that will have the highest impact and effect other things like defensive positioning (which is on the second page and can be adjusted by %s - I typically use 80%)

It means that a player can guard any opponent where the player is rated at least 80% on positional effectiveness.

in the coach's office click on the game plan settings link - halfway down the page is the defensive match-ups chart

the % refers to position effectiveness and is defaulted at 95% - you can just plug a different number in that box set it and save it

you look at your opponent's team and figure out whether he has any imbalance in the way it scores

if he shoots a bunch of 3s and has no inside presence go all out on the perimeter

if he is all paint with no outside gunners pack it in
