We just wanted to let you all know that all of the Worlds in HBD are up to speed on the recent changes made to how Type D compensation picks are awarded.

Please keep in mind that in order to receive a Type D compensation pick you must offer a true 1st round pick, a second round pick, or a true third round pick his initial demands in order to receive compensation.

If you withdraw your offer at any time you will NOT receive a compensation pick the next season.

I do not show type D compensation pick for my unsigned first round pick last year in Shtickless. I offered him his initial demands, and then some.

but you still determine which team gets which pick incorrectly for type As, if one team signs multiple players?

Just to be clear, you need your initial offer to be rejected by the player, rather than offering and quickly withdrawing to use the prospect cash in some other way. Is that correct?

Correct. The initial offer needs to be rejected.

What if they up their demands and you don't reoffer?

It says initial offer, a new demand would mean the initial was rejected, correct?

Going forward, will "true" first round picks that were awarded as Type A compensation picks also be eligible for Type D compensation if that pick goes unsigned? I know this was true in the past, I just wanted to confirm that was still the case.

In MLB, a qualifying offer is around slot, not the drafted player's initial demands.

Also, in MLB, comp picks that are unsigned do not create comp picks for the following season.

One the initial offer is rejected, you've fulfilled your obligation to qualify for Type-D.

I'm guessing that patrick's comment implies that if you make a subsequent offer and then withdraw it before it's accepted/rejected, you will have "voided" your type-D qualification.
