Just wanted to poll folks and see if they have had crazy grade fluctuations this season? Has WIS tweaked study hall and grades? I've had a 3.4 gpa go to 2.0, and on another team 2 guys averaging a 2.7 go to 1.9 with study hall minutes in place, what's up???

I lost two freshmen with 18 minutes of study hall each in another world. I know tycobb lost two sophomores who had 20 minutes each in this world. Definitely think some tweaks had been made

My stuff is completely messed up as well. Same thing has been happening to me. I've had guys in the 14/15 minute range, the 18/20 range, and one at 24 and my stuff is screwed up and dropping like a rock also. I had one guy who started with a 3-something get a 1.7 on his first semester midterm, but managed to get him up to a 2.4 for the first semester final and just had a guy who had a 2.6 on his first semester final drop to a 1.4 for his second semester midterm. Something is definitely up guys. I don't know what, but somebody is messing with the system. I'm having freak accurances in some of my games this year as well, that just don't add up, make sense, or are logical.

Yes, I had a similar problem. I had several freshmen with low mid terms, below 2.5 but I managed to keep them above the minimum CUM GPA. By luck as far as I can tell.

I had a 2.75 recruit start with 8 minutes SH, after first term ended with a 1.8, so I bumped his minutes to 12, and he just got a 1.6, wtf?????

OK, I just had a guy whom I've been giving 26 minutes of study hall time to get a 1.9 on his final and now he's under suspension. Anybody else get screwed?

All of my guys made it. Spoon, when a player's actually UNDER 2.0, I usually bump it up by more than that.

Yeah, but I too have been in the WIS world for awhile, and a 2.75 kid usually just neeeds 7-10 minutes, but not this season...

Yeah, I didn't mean anything against your coaching skills. I just mean that when (for whatever reason) a player's under 2 at the midterm, only giving him 4 extra is risky.

I have seen grades and IQ's seem to slow over the last couple seasons. Not a huge amount but it does seem to take more effort now than in the past to get both to move upwards.

What the heck did you guys, or have you guys, adjusted or tweaked with Study Hall Time. I had a freshman who had a first semester final grade of 2.6 that I increased his study hall time to 14 minutes, get a 1.4 on his second term mid-term, who I than adjusted to 26 minutes of study hall time, get a 1.9 on his second term final. Now he's ineligible for the Post Season. This is only one of my guys. I have more with the same example, but not as extreme.

I am also NOT the only one with Study Hall/Grade problems. I've spoken with "numerous" other coaches in this League, some in Division 111 like me, some of them with other teams in other Leagues still in Division 111 and others in Division 1, and everyone is having problems with grades. You can check the Forums in World 6/Allen under "Grades This Season" to get one example. Whatever you guys did, it was "WAY TOO EXTREME" and you need to undue it and set it back where it was so we can get our players back for the playoffs. The timing on this is "crap".

I'm not a rookie at this. This is my third season and I've been reading, and following right along, the suggestions in the Forums and "Players Guide" under "Help", about assigning enough and the proper study hall time to players in regards to there grades, mid-terms, and final tests. I've never had a problem until this season, even though I'm assigning "way more" study hall time than is usually neccesary. Please undo whatever you did.

I haven't noticed anything different, but maybe I am just lucky.

I been playing for ~15 seasons and last season was the first time I lost a player due to grades... very unexpected. It can't be a coincidence given all the talk on this board.
