NBA DRAFT YEAR THEME is back and in the playoffs its second season now.

RULES

You pick a year of the NBA Draft.

You draft only players who were drafted in that draft year per www.databasebasketball.com.

You twist those players to any season you want.

You fit your roster under a 42 million cap. ***This has been changed for season three to make all seasons more competitive, including the older seasons***

THE OTHER STUFF

All owners from the previous season get set in a draft order from most wins down to least wins. New owners will be added to the end of the draft list as we go.

YOU MAY NOT DRAFT THE SAME DRAFT YEAR TWO SEASONS IN A ROW

A draft year can only be taken once.

Owners may take more than one team, they will be placed in different conferences.

NO clones, NO waiver wire, NO sim-generated rookies.

DRAFT ORDER - The draft order is determined by win/loss record from the previous season. The owner with the most wins drafts first down to the owner with the least wins in the previous season. New owners are added to spots after the returning owners.

ALIGNMENT - Alternating between chronological and random, Season 3 will be chronological alignment with adjustments made only to accommodate owners with two teams who fall in the same conference.

ARENA - choose any arena of the city of the team that the highest draft pick that you used played for in his rookie year (e.g. - the first pick in '03 was Lebron and he played for the Cavs in his rookie year so I can use any Cleveland arena in the database). I am not going to check this because it doesn't matter, but it would be nice if you came close to following the rule.

TEAM NAME - include your year and anything else you want

ODDITIES OF THE LEAGUE

There are a few players who were drafted in two different seasons, they are available to both years they were drafted in. Even if a player did not play the next season, he is placed by the year he was drafted in.

If a draft year wins two total championships in this league they will be blacklisted.
