I'm not sure if I've ever clicked on the HELP button from the Standings screen, so this may have been there forever and I just didn't know it.

But is this new?

"LIVE - This indicates whether this owner has indicated that he/she is available to play games live at this time. This indicator is only relevant during a regular season for another user who would like to play a future game live. Live games are not yet available in Hardball Dynasty, but should be coming soon."

Not new. Live has been a blip on the horizon since HBD came out. It doesn't appear any closer to coming out though than it was the day HBD came out.

There was a peititon a while back to get Live play going. In about 2 weeks it got 30 signatures on it. So we started an anti-live play petition. We had 30+ in a day. the ommon thought though is if there are Live play worlds and regular play worlds, that would be ok. however, given the trouble worlds are having filing as is, to start a bunch of Live play worlds would cost the existing worlds a lot of players andmake things even worse.

I would try a Live play world.

I would never want Live play as an "option" in a current world.

Gotta be all or nothing.

When will "live" games come into play? (taz21 - Hall of Famer - 3:51 PM)

We're still doing research and talking about how we want to incorporate it into HBD and across the site. We want LIVE to be something that is engrossing for everyone so it's going to be awhile before we actually have an estimated release date. I guess in very simple terms, not for a long time.

I don't think it'd work as an add-on.

Instead, I think you'd have "LIVE" worlds, in which all owners would show up at a specific time to play a live game against their next opponent. If someone didn't show up, WIS would act as normal against the live owner.

Conceivably, these worlds would have owners who all said they'd play live one or two times per three-game cycle for the entire season.

Other worlds would continue as is, without the live option.
