OK, so I've never acquired a MLer AFTER the trading deadline.

If this player was on the other team's 40-man roster at the deadline, and I acquire him AFTER the deadline (I acquired his rights via revokable waivers)... is he playoff-eligible for me?

If he's acquired before roster expansion day, yes. If not, then I'm 95% certain it's no; he has to be on YOUR 40-man on roster expansion day.

as long as its before rosters expand he WILL be on your roster

Is this true? That SUBSTANTIALLY changes my interest in a trade offered me.

Duh, I just re-read this... dedelman originally said "If he's acquired before roster expansion day, yes.". I missed that.

Remember the trade has to be COMPLETED before roster expansion day andthe guy placed on your 40. If you agree to it before expansion day but it doesnt go through until after, he is NOT eligible.
