The thing that stands out to me is the lack of ath/spd for the bigs. You run a press and the bigs are slow and lack depth for the stamina needed.

your getting outrebounded 36-22 in games , plus your defense is giving up over 50% from the field. Your lucky your not 0-5.

I would have these guys learn man defense.

The press is magic but you have to do a better job recruiting. If you hav specific questions sitemail me or any experienced coach.

Why would you do that? Most of them have DEF ratings in the 20s. Switching to man would be a bad idea.

I dont know if his group can run the press without tiring out it seems like his group runs out of gas in the 2nd half.

but his defense is poor, so if he were to switch he should try a Zone.

This is only my 2nd season with this team and i plan on leaving after this season, so i got lazy with recruiting. but this was also a team that made it to the elite 8 last season so i couldn't really believe 4 players made that big of an impact on a teams success.

How can i really change that? i already play like a -3 every game to try and create better rebounding numbers.

Are you joking? Those 4 players were likely all starters. You lost 4/5 of your starting lineup and you don't believe that would make a big impact. If you had strong players to step in and take their place, that would be fine, but that is not the case.

I would say my starters are well above average for DIII(or at least my pg,sg, and sf are. so i did have guys to take their place and thats why i stayed another season, and what i couldn't believe was that 4 players could cause a drop from a top 3 team in the nation to a team with a 199 rpi. so the problem has nothing to do with my starters, the problem is my WEAK bench.

ya got some experienced coaches giving their reactions - consider taking a serious look at what they say rather than seeking to debate with them - if the point of the thread was to seek advice
