Unsigned College Seniors Topic

Unsigned College Seniors enter the Free Agent pool the following season, correct? And they enter it as minor league free-agents?

Correct, and mostly correct. If the unsigned senior is top quality, he could be asking for a majoir league contract the next season.

What are the reasons a college senior would go unsigned? They have no leverage so they should all be willing to sign for slot money.

They have university degrees. They can get a job. That's leverage for ya

Or they have an option to play pro football. Or basketball. Or hockey. Or the drafting owner doesn't have enough money or interest to sign them.

tec's last answer (no money) is why I didn't sign this particular guy. But if he goes to FA, I might have a crack at him.

Not all unsigned seniors become FAs the next season. If they opted for a different sport (i.e. turned down a contract offer because they were going to play something else) they won't show up the next season.
