Is D-III HD dead? Topic

Looking through Naismith, some of the conferences have ZERO users now, and most have somewhere between 1-4. Even a handful of seasons ago, they were much more full.

D-III going to be cut out?

More free HD at the d-III level?

I wouldn't expect to see anything in the way of promotions until after the new HD is released.

DIII Wooden is alive and well. Most active DIII around. Have a solid core of coaches that keep things very active. Got a dynasty list maintained by wronoj (with a super active forum). Got some good rivalries going too. Between schools and conferences. We even have four BCS conferences (Midwest, Michigan, NAC, and Upstate).

We're in the elite 8, so anyone interested in joining the best DIII around, you can pick up a team very soon!! Its turning into quite the proving grounds for great coaches.

D3 Crum is a shell of it's former self. The exodus began several years ago around the introduction of potential. Since that point, there have been a number of coaches (both big names and others who have just been "passing through") that have on a yearly basis. It is at the point now, where there is only a few conferences which have more than 50% human coaches. To make matters worse there is only a handful of coaches from which I have built solid non-conference rivalries with over the years.

Its still more fun then div I. Div II is where its at right now, but div III isn't much further behind. Div I has a long ways to go, but hopefully the new engine (game planning, more super stars, recruiting a little differently etc) will address those issues.

DI is the funnest by far.

d1 recruiting is the funnest by far... but the game play sucks. d2 is way better there. i hope the d2 rupp mega bowl fills up, with competitive recruit, i think it would be a lot more fun than d1.

I have never played D1 but I get the feeling that I would enjoy D2 and D3 better. Guys are just too similar (I know, not an original POV) when I look at D1 rosters. I enjoy D3, although I must admit there usually isn't much competition. I like the fact that its possible to get someone who is more "dominant" there. Is there even anyone in D1 (on a winning team) averaging 20 and 10?

my better teams' best player often has like 12ppg. some teams do have the 20 or 25 ppg players but they aren't the ones that tend to win it all.
