I have a whole host of questions as we enter recruiting. If you could answer any of them that would be awesome. I run a Fastbreak/Fullcourt Press combo for reference in these questions.
I heard that the most important stats are: Speed, Athleticism, Rebounding, Stamina. Do you agree that should be my core skills I recruit?
Is rebounding important for gaurds?
Is athleticism more important for bigs, speed more important for guards?
ballhandling reduces turnovers and improves scoring, passing improves distribution, and perimeter improves shooting. Correct? Do you think it sounds appropriate for my offense to focus on ballhandling, but try and get a PG who can pass, and a SG who can shoot?
What is the lowest work ethic you guys will normally consider taking?
Does a players hieght actually impact his ability anyway, or is it just the ratings that matter?
It seems like at DII the recruiting stars service makes a lot more sense than at DIII. I assume everybody agrees it is good to use it, correct? how many surrounding states do you think are appropriate typically if you are useing it?
I heard that with FCP that the defense rating doesn't actually matter. Agree?
I have 5 schollys open. It seems like the best stratagy would be to take 1 or 2 premier players and then just try and fill up the class with low budget guys. Do you agree, or do most people try and get a more balanced recruiting class?
Is there an approximate limit on the standard recruiting tools before they stop being effective? I heard after 40 phone calls or packages they stop working. Is there a similar # for campus or home visits?
Any idea as to wheter campus or home visits are more successful, or do you just need to follow player's emails?
Sorry for the long list - I just want to get good fast and not waste this season as I have 5 scholarships.
