I haven't been paying attention, but.... why is it that seemingly ever starting pitcher has gone down in value? Heck, a lot of the batters, too. A team I had at $119.99M just clocked in at $107.32M.

The pitchers are down a smidge over $10M and the hitters down a bit over $2.5M.

Guess I need to make a better team, eh?

And I'm definitely going to have to re-think my entire pitching staffs from now on.... SP that were in the Top 10 for $/IP previously are now not even in the Top 500... I sh** you not.

82 Smith is ridiculous. He used to be one of my favorites.....

I auto-loaded a bunch of my current teams in the draft center to see what they'd cost now, and it was split about 50/50 with some going up, others down. Most of the teams are in 100M leagues, and the change was never more than 4M up or down.

Does raising the price of good defense mean that defense matters again?

Yes...I believe that the best range fielders should be somewhere around 30 or so "+" plays for an entire season.
