Okay, first time playing HD and have some general questions. I apologize in advance if any are stupid questions.

I have taken over a dog team with all Sim recruited players. In looking over my current roster, it seems I have a relatively good SG and two relatively good Centers. All current players have high IQs in flex and man to man.

In reading the post going over all the offenses and how they are used, it seems that with a strong inside game I should switch to a Triangle offense. That being said, first question, will switching to an offense that my players have low IQs in be a big mistake?

Second question, according to the above referenced post on offenses, a Tiangle offense runs from the 1 through the 3, and down to the 5. Would it be smart of play my good SG at the 1 or 3, instead of the 2? Also, since I have two good Centers, is there any down side to running one at the 5 and one at the 4? Or if I play my SG at the 2 can I just adjust distribution and not worry about it (ie: the engine doesn't necessarily run a Triangle through the 3).

Third question, in looking over the meager selection of recruits available, I don't see any 3s that are worth a darn, especially if I am looking for ones that I can run the Triangle through (good PER and P). Should I just recruit SGs to play at the 3, since there are numerous SGs that fit the bill?

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I was searching all over the forums for the info on playing players out of position and couldn't find anything...great info to have.

DE skill rating is more important in the Man to Man D then any other, fyi.

read the zhawks guide

dont switch offense or defense - recruit the best players you can find and just play

best does not equal most points - read which skills matter

Apollo, I agree with what Weena and Mets are both saying. Keep what you have at d3, once you learn the game a bit and move onto d2 that is when I think it would be a much better time to experiment in changing your O or D.

Forum: Tark: Oldresorter D3 thread is good. It's usually at the top of the forum.

To me your best low post player is your PF - Spencer. Ath. is the most important thing for a PF/C, next would be rebounding, then LP. Basiden, isn't horrible, he could be faster. For your guards, speed will be the most important thing, from there its an argument as to what you should next in terms of their strenghts.
