The Deal:
A forum draft of unique players using the entire WiS database. Unique means 1 Babe Ruth etc. If Babe goes as a Pitcher or a Bench Player, he is off the board. Each round will be a pre-determined Position. You must announce the player and the season that you are drafting at the time of your pick. Bench and Short Inning Rounds often knock the big boys out of the draft.
For pitchers, the season (or partial) must meet the IP requirement.
For hitters, they must be rated at the Primary Position being drafted in the year you are selecting. They must meet the overall PA/162 requirement. They can play ANY Position when the season starts. If you draft a partial player season to meet a round requirement, you must use that partial. You cannot change to the full season once the draft is complete.
There will be a salary cap of 160 million.
Draft order will be determined by random.org 25 rounds. 11 rounds for pitchers and 13 rounds for Position players. Round 25 will be fixed as a Wildcard round. You can draft ANY player to fill ANY need that you see fit for your squad.
Each Owner will draft 1st in a round. After Draft order is determined you will move up one spot each round. After you draft first, you will drop to #24.
The Draft will run from 10am-10pm EST with 30 minute increments. If back to back rounds do not conflict they will run simultaneously.
Positions drafted will also be selected by Random.org. Strategy can be used in bench and RP Positions.
