FT end of game / resting starters? Topic

I have been playing for a few seasons now... curious to these thoughts;

Is there anyway to get a good FT shooter in at the end of the game if being fouled? I doubt this is written into the program, but I have a player (currently redshirt) who is A+ and next year that would be one good way to utilize him - get him in the game at the end and use this skill.

I would love to see that option incorporated into coaching choices.

Also, lately I have been playing a freshman to get his min up (since I promised 15). Made me wonder -- will this save the legs of the junior who is getting less playing time? Again I doubt it would, but it seems like that should be valued.

The first option seems to be an easy fix IMO, the second more complex to incorporate into program development.

Any thoughts?

So when your A+ FR guard with 39 BH turns it over twice in the last 2 mins of the game and costs you the win, don't come back ******** about why the SIM didn't have your SR guard with 59 BH in the game.

Don't assume the defense would just foul the A+ FT shooter.

I understand that point.. it would be a risk. But generally in the last 2 min of a game, perhaps going against a non-pressing team - it should work, correct? In the real world it is not too uncommon to attempt to inbound the ball to a good FT shooter and he will immediately be fouled intentionally.

Ideally, the BH improves and turnovers are not as much of a concern.

Man, you must be miserable with life. Here is a guy that has 2 posts (so he is most likely new - didn't check) and is asking a simple question. Lighten up man.

To answer the poster's question, NO, there is nothing written into the program that allows you to enter a specific player into a specific situation for the game. Maybe that becomes an option down the road though, maybe not.

Funny, I actually thought I remembered a development chat where logic was introduced at the end of game to get better free throw shooters in.... I remember alot of things that never existed though.
