Not signing coaches Topic

I've heard that if you don't sign RL and LoA coaches, the sim will sign them for you, and often give you better coaches than you would otherwise get by signing them, and at a lower price. Two questions:



A) Is this true?

B) Will they always sign for the minimum?

ruth league hired coaches starting on 11/3. my auto-assigned coaches for rookie league were mostly pretty sweet:

pitching coach with a 71 pitching rating
bench coach with a 70 pitching rating
hitting coach... with a 40 hitting rating.

Using that plan in Ruth I got former big league coaches with role specific ratings in the upper 70's.

It will take seasons to fix the damage from this as well because most of these guys will resign next season with a one level promotion.

I've at least one lower spot unsigned in MG ... maybe 2 if a guy demanding AA turns down my HiA offer with a AA salary ... we'll know at 3PM whether I get the gold or the crap

I was able to re-sign a bunch of the auto-assign guys from last season with a one level bump, so I may be able to ride out the old loophole for another season or two

and the loophole still exists where there are waaaaay more MLB-caliber hitting, pitching, and bench coaches than slots available ... if you know what you are doing, you should be able to get a mid-80s guy for under $1.5M per

Yeah, I've sent a couple of suggestions on how to alleviate that problem but nothing seems to have happened. MG has one BL HC spot . Almost 30 coaches are asking for a BL HC job. 12 over 80 with 75 being the lowest. That's just silly.

The fix went out today, we had to update an additional query in order to stop the ML coaches going to the RL.
