Uh...wtf?
WIS math: 3ppg = POY

The C has great block/reb stats.

PG played a lot and played avg for a freshman.

Toss up but if a gun was held to my head and I was forced to take one on my team I'd choose the C. His asst/to is probably small sample size but it's really good.

EDIT: PG actually shot well enough to hold a roster spot, but I'd still go with the C.

I should probably qualify this a little more.

The SG played the entire year in Fastbreak while the team was switching over to Triangle. He's an F in FB, but now has a B in Triangle.

The C played the whole year in Triangle, which was his HS set (Currently a B-).

This is mid-level DI too, not Big 6.

I'd say the C.

Seriously? Am I being too biased?

The .370 FG% from a C just seems too low for me. The low TO ratio leads me to believe that he had very little distro and just capitalized put backs for more than half of his PPG.

I'm not whining, just curious.

The C. All the PG did is score and Turn the ball over. The center in limited minutes got blocks, steals and rebounds. Its not all about PPG.

Where the hell is this PG you guys keep talking about?

He's listed as Player 3 above.

Not that the shooting guard was all that great and deserved to win the award. However, I can't think of one reason why Player#1 should even be considered.

I think some of you guys are just trying to be contrarians.

The only thing unappealing about the guard is his ast:to ratio, and we all know that ast:to ratio is one of the most ridiculous, unreliable, inaccurate things that WIS attempts to measure.

But he was an impactful and effective scorer, had a stl/game, started and played more minutes. I can't imagine how that's offset by a guy coming off the bench who's a liability on offense and gets 4 boards and a block.

In the past, way back, a good majority of the time the POTY and FOTY awards were decided by PPG with rebounding and assists factoring in. FG% and TO/G had little to do with it.

Not being contrarian at all. I only have the above stats to go on and it's no slam dunk either way but imagine if the stats were reversed...

A C who scores pretty well but doesn't rebound or block vs. a guard who doesn't shoot well but shows tremendous passing ability and doesn't turn the ball over. I recruit bigs who reb/block first and guards who handle the ball well. After the basics are taken care of then I go for offense. I'm also a loser coach so maybe that's the problem.

It's just personal preference. DEF ratings and ath/spd could sway me.

I could post all of that but I don't really see the point.

The C didn't even have the best numbers of Freshmen on his team.

The SG started all year, playing an offense he didn't know, and scored close to 15% of his team's points. I thought it was a lock.

It just really took me by surprise. Of course we are talking about an imaginary award in a fake game, so I'm not seriously upset.

You must be talking about an unseen third player.

That center just doesn't have any numbers that are impressive. You grab four boards in this game simply by being a big man on the court for 15 mins. I honestly am not sure what you're looking at that is impressing you so much.
