Fine either way on times.
An update too on the all-timers list. It's about 9/10th done, been working on it every chance I can over a busy weekend to try and get it done ASAP. I went back to the drawing board after our discussion about how many players we would need and came up with a list of over 600 players who's careers started between 1921 and 1990. I'm going out to dinner with friends later, but will be up late after I come home to put the finishing touches on it.
I went with 1921-1990 because I wanted to keep an eye on the future if and when this league is a long-running hit. We're going to have that list of 600 some-odd players to add to draft pools from 1901-1910. When we get to 1911 and beyond however, I don't want us to run out of quality players. By not including players from before 1921 in the all-timers list, that insures that they'll all come up in their natural year. I'm thinking that in 1911, we can come up with a second list, made up primarily of players who's careers began in 1991 and beyond so we can keep adding some kind of all-timers for another decade. And since no players who debuted befote 1921 are to be included in the AT list, all of THOSE players can come up in their natural year as well.
The list is a mix of Hall of Famers, All-Star caliber players, and other decent players with consistent, notable careers. I think everyone's going to like digging into the list once it's posted, and it'll be worth the wait. The "class of 1901" promises to be pretty juicy too...
