I'm wondering what people's experience is with the following:

Type A-level 4th year players getting a 1 year arbitration offer.

Do they ever reject long-term deal in their 5th year, instead opting to take a 1 year arb offer and then walking? I've heard it depends on patience and whether they won/lost their arb cases, but haven't risked it in the past myself.

I have had 100 percent success If you sign them long term during the 5th season resign free agent stage that occurs right before arbitration.
