I guess it may be a blessing in disguise, because I was ready to sign the kid... maybe the whatif gods are trying to tell me something.

That's really, really bizarre. Gotta be something else to that story.

On a side note, helluva job at Riverside. Not sure if I've ever seen a team from a mid conference at A+ before (A-10 isn't a mid in HD). Closest I'm aware of were combalt and cbriese in CAA Rupp and acn24 at Manhattan in Tark, but I'm pretty sure none of them ever quite got to A+. That's awesome.

the guy signed with Citadel.... fascinating. I sent a ticket to see if there was an explanation. I'm sure everybody is working overtime this time of year so it shouldn't be long before I hear back.

Thanks Daalter.... kind of had to have the perfect storm of events take place to get me over the top, which included a good deal of fortune, but I appreciate it.

wow I thought you were a d2 team without even looking, I was wondering why everyone was making a big deal out of the A+ prestige.... That is very impressive congrats man! And yeah that does seem stupid but if you only gave him a scholarship I dont think he should sign with you.

that was my thought-- maybe he just wasn't good enough, and thought you'd never play him. Like when they cut D1 schools out of recruiting lower-division JuCos to balance classes or just fill their 12.

Let us know how the ticket comes out.

I ended up giving him 12 or 13 scouting trips because he wouldn't take a campus visit or home visit. No luck.
