It's funny, I feel that ath should actually have more of an impact in getting to the ft line.
Even looking at Pierce on your squad:
He has comparable fg attempts and min/game (a few less, but nothing dramatic) to Rollings and Wilkes, and just about the same # of ft attempts as well, despite a huge advantage in ath. And the same ft attempts as Burks with double the fg attempts.
But in general, yes, guys with good ath should draw more fouls (unless you have them set to take a lot of 3p's). They'll have the ability to slash/finish in the lane, and less ath defenders will tend to foul them. (Look at tonight's game ... your opponent's sg was extremely unathetlic and Pierce had a season high in ft attempts.)
