Wasn't LOCO merged with another world?

I see it's rolling, with 14 openings. Yikes.

Wow. LOCO has been dead for one full HBD cycle (they were recruiting last time Mordecai rolled over). Thats insane.

I'd give props to the owners who have stuck it out to try and keep their world alive... but they rejected a merger? Seriously? Wow. Just... wow.

They did not want to lose their history, and are apparently a dedicated group who have played several other sports on this site together.

I've never figured out what harm a world that doesn't roll is causing those in worlds who continue to roll.

Let them do their thing. They're not hurting anyone.

Yep, that is pretty much my thoughts. I think people who want worlds other than their own to fold are just being selfish.

Now that LOCO has gone public they will eventually fill, it might it take a long time, but too date every world that has gone public has eventually filled.

I thought the commish could only get so much time before the league went public and filled. It's been, what, 100 days?

They have been public since at least early September, and they still have 14 openings.

I agree that they are not hurting anything by staying, unfilled and public. I'm just stunned that they chose that over merging, losing their records and being able to play again.

Its their call though.. if they're happy, good for them!

May I remind you of the words of W.C. Fields " If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit, no sense being a damn fool about it."

I think they might be hurting someone by staying unfilled and PUBLIC

a new user could join that world for whatever reason, and get frustrated by not being able to play ... and even if it fills eventually, this seems to be the type of world that will have openings next season and will be slow to fill then too ... a new owner could get frustrated by that process and leave the game

certainly if a group of less than 32 owners wants to wiat forever to try to fill their private world, more power to them ... and buyer beware anybody that decides to join them in their private world

but I've said many times on here that when WiS lets a world go public, they are essentially "vouching" for the world ... and there are some worlds out there (and I'm not saying LOCO has any issues other than finding 32 owners) that shouldn't be vouched for

LOCO and Williams were supposed to be merged when LOCO went public about 6 weeks ago. The LOCO owners went nuts and WIS cancelled the planned merge and set LOCO private again.

Williams then went back public but because of the whole insanity and the fact that they lost out on a week of recruiting and a few owners, everyone that joined Williams (myself included) was given a $10 credit.

LOCO, who blew their chance to play because of refusing the merge, has now gone public and still cant fill (and there are no other worlds for them to merge with at the moment).

I have no sympathy for them - they had a chance tobe playing with the merge and vetoed it.

I haven't seen any of them asking for sympathy.

If that's a plea for sympathy, you've come to the wrong place, buddy!!

I didnt know I said that I am ignoring their pleas for sympathy. I simply stated that I have no sympathy. Whether or not I have sympathy for someone does not require them to ask for it.

For example, I could state I have no sympathy for your wife for having to live with you, and that does not require her to ask for it.

As a general rule, you only say "I have no sympathy" if someone asks for it or it's at least implied that sympathy may be necessary.

You won't hear me say "I have no sympathy for that random 82 year old Russian guy who died in Moscow yesterday." I don't but no one cares because no one inquired if I did or if it was necessary.

Hmm, if I were a newbie looking for a world, would I take the one with a tight little cabal of long-time owners?

What is that tight little cabal looking for, a record for a world staying unfilled?
