Went on a huge streak at the end of season 38, earned a 1-seed in the tournament. Was upset in the 2nd round...surprisingly enough the slowdown turned out way too powerful and the 100 PE SG couldn't make a shot against a -3/-5. Should definitely receive a bump back to A-/A level.

Graduate #1:

Jason Lavoie, SG
Indian Land HS, Fort Mill, SC

Prime example of a senior slump. Never managed to live up to his ratings (although not the worst example from this class).

Was actually a 2-star recruit who took a redshirt and was probably the best player on the team this season. Leaves #7 in Duke history in FG% and #12 in school history in 3PT%.

Probably the biggest underachiever I've ever seen in HD. Was a Top-20 overall recruit and couldn't manage to shoot 40% from the field as a Senior.

At least only 2 early entries, so I will only have 6 openins. Clearly I will need to add backups for SG, SF and the post. The ACC as a whole had 11 kids declare early, so there will be plenty of openings, at least UNC only needs 1.

The ACC has silly postseason money this year - about $48,000 per team, so it could be a bloodbath.
12/9/2009 6:51 AM
Silly's the right word for it. It scares me that there are one-scholly teams with over $60 grand out there.

And with so many early entries and probable draftees spiking prestige even higher, it wouldn't surprise me a lot to see most of the elite recruits East of the Mississippi end up in the ACC next season.
