Second half woes? Topic

http://www.whatifsports.com/hd/TeamProfile/Schedule.aspx?tid=3795

In 5 of my 6 losses, the game was within five points at the half, only to see me get blown away by a big run to start the second half.

Is there a reason for this? Is there something in my gameplanning that would explain this?

Bump for the HD experts.

Just a glance at your team ratings and half your team is under 70 stamina with nobody over 90 is probably part of the reason. I have not looked in depth at if you were really tired near the end of the game, but my guess is fatigue was a factor late in the game and you started missing to many shots and def went down the drain.

I would agree generally, furry, but three of these runs have been right at the start of the second half and during another I was mostly green.

It could just be a coincidence, but it seems odd to me.

I don't know if this is a cause but. . man, you commit allot of fouls.

He's committed one more foul this season than his opponents.

I think one of your bigger problems is that you've got a young team with average (at best) IQ's. Your staminas are also pretty low, especially for your bigs. Plus, 5 of your 6 losses were against pretty good teams.

I wouldn't sweat it too much right now. Get your IQ's up, try to improve your staminas, and you should see an improvement in your play.

No doubt. I'm not generally an overreactor to this kind of stuff and my team is really, really young, I was just wondering if I was missing something because there seems to be a pattern emerging regarding the time of these long runs.

Thanks for the input guys.

That may be true, but if he gets someone in foul trouble in the first half, it would give those freshmen allot more minutes in the second half, perhaps?

On another note , I know it is DIII but your DE ratings seem very low for a M2M. I haven't been in DIII in a while, so maybe they are not as low as I think.

Your starters are 46, 18, 16, 29, 25 with IQs of A-, B-, B, B-, B.

Yeah, although I don't think anyone is really great enough offensively for it to matter. I've had some very successful D3 teams with low defensive ratings. I should have gone to press a few years ago, but I like being one of the few guys at that level who still plays man.

That still doesn't explain the pattern of getting run out of the second half gate, though I'm starting to think that's just a coincidence.
